On Mount Olympus, according to Greek mythology, Zeus - a sometimes fickle husband - entrusted the nymph Echo with distracting his wife Hera by engaging her in endless chatter when he wished to tarry with some beautiful mortal. Hera, on discovering this little game, pronounced sentence on the nymph with the following words: 'You will never be the first to speak, but you will always have the last word'. Echo's life had changed forever, but that is another story... Back in Bordeaux, Château Haut-Bages Averous is a property in Pauillac, acquired some time ago by André Cazes. For over 30 years, it was Lynch-Bages' second wine. In 2008, a new identity was given to the second wine, under the name 'Echo de Lynch-Bages'. Echo de Lynch-Bages displays savoury aromas of fresh red fruits. Round, mellow and seductive in its youth, its ability to age is outstanding.

Strong ruby red hue with a beautiful shine. Very fine on the nose with superb black fruit and spicy notes. Delightful and intense on the palate, with lovely balance and great elegance, from the moment it was bottled.

This classic, well-rounded, plum-scented Italian red is made from Montepulciano grapes grown in the Abruzzo region, on Italy's Adriatic coast.

A bouquet of dark plums, currants, dark berries, forest floor and kelp with underlying toasted oak notes. These concentrated flavours follow on the palate and combined with a fine tannin structure, give the wine a rich complex finish.

A proprietary estate red blend sourced mainly from the warm, inland soils of Bridge Pa Triangle and Gimblett Gravels. Wonderfully fruited and elegantly complex, the bouquet shows blackcurrant, sweet cherry, cedar, thyme and warm spice aromas, leading to a gorgeously flavoursome palate offering succulent fruit intensity together with silky texture and fine-grained tannins. Supple and lingering with a delectable finish.

This Tempranillo is an aromatic and textural wine, with vibrant and juicy raspberry and cherry cola flavours. In the warmer months we love it slightly chilled, perfect for mild evenings and outdoor dining.

This Zinfandel is a bold wine grown from some of the oldest vines in California. Gnarly Head's untamed vines produce full-flavoured grapes, dense with aromas of blackberry bramble, juicy plum, and toasted oak. This medium-bodied wine boasts a balanced acidity and supple tannins for those who like big wines with a little attitude.
