Inspired by the celebrated blends of France's Southern Rhône, Penfolds Bin 138 Grenache Shiraz Mataro 2023 unites three classic varieties sourced from the Barossa Valley. Matured in seasoned oak with a small proportion of new hogsheads, each component is given the opportunity to contribute its own character, creating a wine of depth, balance and unmistakable regional charm. Grenache leads the way with generous aromas of goji berry, raspberry and red currant, complemented by hints of rhubarb, almond meal and delicate floral notes. The palate is layered with tart pomegranate, mulberry and savoury spice, while feather-fine tannins and bright acidity bring freshness, structure and length.
