Te Kahu means 'the cloak' in te reo Maori and refers to the mist that envelops Giants Winery in the Tukituki Valley. Legend has it that this mist was used to protect a mythical Maori maiden from the sun as she visited her lover Te Mata. This is a wine of richness and an abundance of black fruit flavours and a long structured finish. Deepest crimson red. Brooding aromatically with notes of cassis, black olive and dried tobacco enveloping a dense core of blue fruits. The wine has a lovely focus on the palate with dark fruits framed by fine tannins to deliver a classical structure with an excellent future ahead.

Handpicked from the higher terrace of the vineyard and fermented with indigenous yeast producing a wine with a silky layered texture providing interest and complexity. Burgundy in colour with a light crimson hue. Dried lavender and garigue, distinctly Te Muna perfume on the nose. An elegant palate with a warm core of brambled wild berries, porcini mushroom and red cherry in balance with the silk-laden tannins, which perfectly frame the wine. It speaks volumes to an incredible site.

Indulge in a luxurious sensory experience with Crimson Peak's velvety texture, which envelops the palate and delivers a smooth, seamless mouthfeel with notes of ripe plum, succulent black cherry, and subtle hints of integrated oak, creating a complex and well-balanced wine.

Ruby read with rich chromatic nuances. The bouquet is distinctly fruity with cherry overtones that are balnced with hint of vanilla and cinnamon. On the palate the flavour reflects the spicy undertones while the fruit of the bouquet is well supported by balanced tannins.

The Lionheart of Dandelion Vineyards is their old vine Barossa vineyard. These ancient, gnarled vines, many over a hundred years of age, are not only surviving but thriving on their own roots in some of the oldest soils on the planet. In the last week of April whole bunches of Shiraz were hand harvested, then gently crushed and naturally fermented in open fermenters for eight days, hand plunged twice a day, before careful basket pressing into some new but predominantly older French Oak Barriques to finish fermentation. After 18 months maturation and a racking in the same oak, we bottled our Lionheart without filtration or fining, to capture the essence of the vineyard. Dandelion Vineyards Lionheart is ready to drink and will reward cellaring and decanting.

This Pride of the Fleurieu Cabernet was grown in the family's pride and joy, overlooking the Finniss River wetlands, Tony Brooks and Prof. Barbara Santich's dry grown Stranger's Reach vineyard cooled by the Great Southern Ocean and Lake Alexandrina where low rainfall and deep alluvial soils encourage Cabernet to populate or perish. Selected bunches were hand picked by family and friends in the last week of March and gently crushed into open top fermenters. After 8 days fermentation the wine was then basket pressed into some new but predominately older French Oak Barriques for 18 months maturation and then bottled with minimal winemaking artifact, to capture the essence of the vineyard and will reward cellaring and decanting.

A bouquet of dark plums, currants, dark berries, forest floor and kelp with underlying toasted oak notes. These concentrated flavours follow on the palate and combined with a fine tannin structure, give the wine a rich complex finish.

Displays flavours of black berries, black current, red berries and a tinge of vanilla. On the palate lies a good amount of fine tannins which will reward those who want to put this wine away. It will truly blossom with time.

The Devil's Staircase takes the willing down into the realm of decadence and bacchanalian delights. Here everything is pleasure, spiced up with a dash of naughtiness. The unrelenting environment tortures the vines whose twisted limbs produce wine worthy of absolution. These wines are sinfully succulent and devilishly good.

Situated north of the village, at the entrance to the Combe, the parcel covers 0.3 hectare and was planted in 1943. Matured in 40% new oak barrels made from wood from the Allier and Nivernais regions. On the nose, aromas of red fruit and violet. The palate is sound, lively and fruity from morello, conveying delicacy and gourmandise. A discrete woody nose suggests elegance while the tannic structure reveals the majestic quality. Match with Foie gras bruschetta and fig jam, chicken with black mushrooms.

Intense aromatics, very expressive, dominated by fresh fruit aromas (red currant, raspberry) blended with discreet notes of oak. Structured, round and easy, nicely oaked on the palate, with firm but silky tannins and a long, fresh and fruity finish.
