This Pride of the Fleurieu Cabernet was grown in the family's pride and joy, overlooking the Finniss River wetlands, Tony Brooks and Prof. Barbara Santich's dry grown Stranger's Reach vineyard cooled by the Great Southern Ocean and Lake Alexandrina where low rainfall and deep alluvial soils encourage Cabernet to populate or perish. Selected bunches were hand picked by family and friends in the last week of March and gently crushed into open top fermenters. After 8 days fermentation the wine was then basket pressed into some new but predominately older French Oak Barriques for 18 months maturation and then bottled with minimal winemaking artifact, to capture the essence of the vineyard and will reward cellaring and decanting.

A bouquet of dark plums, currants, dark berries, forest floor and kelp with underlying toasted oak notes. These concentrated flavours follow on the palate and combined with a fine tannin structure, give the wine a rich complex finish.

The Devil's Staircase takes the willing down into the realm of decadence and bacchanalian delights. Here everything is pleasure, spiced up with a dash of naughtiness. The unrelenting environment tortures the vines whose twisted limbs produce wine worthy of absolution. These wines are sinfully succulent and devilishly good.

Intense aromatics, very expressive, dominated by fresh fruit aromas (red currant, raspberry) blended with discreet notes of oak. Structured, round and easy, nicely oaked on the palate, with firm but silky tannins and a long, fresh and fruity finish.

Botanical notes, umami, and hints of brown sugar and bran. With time, the young oak will integrate seamlessly, unveiling layers of cedar-like Canadian maple, savoury tobacco, walnut oil, and sage leaf. A spice box of depth and complexity awaits, echoing the essence of our earlier wines. The texture recalls our clay soils; while the minerality from stones may be subtle, it frames the wine's length and serves as the skeleton beneath the fruit. There's a grunt of dehydrated zest and a flourish of blossom flowers. Picture it in shades of blue rather than red - absolutely gorgeous. A true reflection of the spirit of Dry River's beginnings.

An immensely complex and enticing on the nose with sweet berry, bouquet garni, game, violet and almond nuances, leading to a splendidly refined palate offering outstanding concentration and depth. Silky and plush with an impressively long structured finish. The wine will impress now but also will reward a few years in the cellar.

A proprietary estate red blend sourced mainly from the warm, inland soils of Bridge Pa Triangle and Gimblett Gravels. Wonderfully fruited and elegantly complex, the bouquet shows blackcurrant, sweet cherry, cedar, thyme and warm spice aromas, leading to a gorgeously flavoursome palate offering succulent fruit intensity together with silky texture and fine-grained tannins. Supple and lingering with a delectable finish.

Gorgeously fruited and perfumed with Black Doris plum, spiced cherry, dark olive and smoked game nuances, it's succulent and supple in the mouth delivering excellent fruit purity and silky flow. Finely textured and lingering with a delightfully elegant finish.

Intense red with purple hues. Full bodied with dense ripe cassis fruit flavours balanced with vanillin oak but yet long and smooth. Try with char grilled sirloin or a heart minestrone. This wine has the flavour, structure and balance to be enjoyed now or offers added satisfaction from further cellaring.

A blend of fruit from some of Quarisa's key vineyards in South Australia. Enchanted Tree Shiraz is a medium to full bodied, rich, dark fruited style. The kind of Shiraz that the guy's become famous for!

This is a smooth and fruit orientated Gimblett Gravels blend. Deep purple in colour, it has a bouquet of dried herbs, red berries and subtle hints of cedar from a period of barrel maturation.
