Mount Riley's 17 Valley range is a considered, handcrafted wine for connoisseurs. Only the best fruit of the best vintages goes into this making this range. A special occasion wine, available very selectively. Pale yellow/straw. Stone fruit, citrus and a touch of gunflint combine with beautifully integrated spice and toast characters derived from the fermentation in barrel. A wine of complexity and character. Fruit concentration is supported by mealy texture, spice and toasted nuts, and a bright natural acidity, creating a wine with balance and length of flavour.

Made with grapes grown on Mount Riley's Estate Vineyards in Marlborough's Wairau Valley. The grapes are gently pressed, and the juice settled prior to fermentation in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures to retain the bright, varietal aromatics, with a small portion in old French oak for added weight and texture. A pale straw colour in the glass, a nose of bright florals with apple and pear notes underscored with a fresh herbal seam with compliments of spice. The palate is just off dry with ripe fruit flavours, rich texture, and fresh acidity. Match with white meat, veal, Asian food, and cheeses.

Made from grapes grown on Mount Riley's Litchfield and Anderson Vineyards in Marlborough's Wairau Valley. In the glass, a light straw colour. The nose reveals a perfumed wine with nuances of lime, pear and citrus blossom underpinned by spice and nectarine characters. The palate has excellent fruit purity, with bright lemon/lime notes with hints of apricot. Dryish with great acid balance and a refreshing mineral finish. Great as an aperitif or match with seafood, light meats & spicy foods.

A blend from multiple vineyard sites throughout Marlborough, with a portion from the Awatere Valley and the balance from the Wairau Valley. Grapes are crushed and de-stemmed prior to pressing and fermentation in stainless steel at cool temperatures to preserve the lifted aromatics in this wine. In the glass, a light straw colour with green hues. On the nose, complex aromas of citrus, passionfruit, gooseberries and currant with a touch of crushed herbs. The palate has a weighty mouthfeel with intense although refined flavours finishing with a crisp acidity. Great as an aperitif or match with seafood, smoked fish, fresh salads, or chargrilled vegetables.

The grapes for Roaring Meg come from Mt Difficulty's Cromwell basin vineyards managed by their dedicated viticultural team. Roaring Meg Chardonnay features citrus floral notes, toasted brioche and a hint of cashew on the nose. Initially some classically rich Chardonnay fruit character on the palate, white stone fruit and toast notes which then picks up on the fresh and crisp finish. The wine finishes with refreshing grapefruit and lemon zest.

Roaring Meg Pinot Gris features lifted and aromatic notes of jasmine, green pear & grapefruit on the nose. A vibrant palate of red apple, lime, yellow plum and lychee with balanced freshness from the acidity and residual sweetness for a buoyant and juicy finish.

Roaring Meg Pinot Noir Rosé has a bouquet of lifted white floral and strawberry notes initially and blood orange and red cherry fruit behind. Bright, ripe blood orange and ruby grapefruit flowing into plush stonefruit on the mid-palate. Drier in style, this Rosé is elegant and fine with a long finish. Serve chilled for maximum enjoyment.

The grapes for Roaring Meg come from Mt Difficulty's Cromwell basin vineyards managed by their dedicated viticultural team. Roaring Meg Sauvignon Blanc is reminiscent of Central Otago. Lifted and vibrant notes of guava, passionfruit and pineapple with fresh herbal elements give this wine its classic Sauvignon Blanc profile. Juicy, ripe and bold flavours race across the palate, followed by a mineral and saline finish to lengthen the palate. Best enjoyed with Bluff oysters.
